I think Tony (Bos3332) was referring to KCAL (Channel 9), the Laker TV
station in LA.

This is not the first time he's done this. IIRC, he had some wild posts
last year about deals for Mo Vaughn and stuff. I think in the future,
posts on trade speculation should be posted upon confirmation from an
Internet news source, not some wild revelation on WEEI. If any wild rumor
comes up from anyone who quotes some source you can't readily take a glance
at on the Net, then don't take it seriously. When I see stuff like this I
go right to ESPN or Boston.com for confirmation. This trade rumor had no
such confirmation, and yes, if true Michael Holley and Mark Cofman would
have been all over it.

And it's not just Tony. Someone on the Patriots' list put out a blab
saying Pete Carroll was going to be fired and replaced with Jerry
Glanville. It never made it to any other news source. Just be careful and
consider all sources when you hear stuff like this.
