Mavs trade?!?

Just for a bit of perpective on this "proposed" trade:

Samaki Walker's career totals: 123 games, 17.9 minutes/game, .468 fg%, .572
ft%, 4.8 rebounds/game, 0.4 assists/game, 0.4 steals/game, 0.6 blocks/game,
6.6 points/game

Anstey: 82 games, 14.0 minutes/game, .384 fg%, .713 ft%, 3.1 rebounds/game,
0.8 assists/game, 0.6 steals/game, 0.5 blocks/game, 4.6 points/game

These are not exactly what you'd call all-star stats. For big men, their
fg%, rebounding and blocks are pathetic. Just for the sake of comparison,
have a look at Banana Boy:

182 games, 17.5 minutes/game, .474 fg%, .711 ft%, 4.5 rebounds/game, 1.0
assists/game, 0.6 steals/game, 0.9 blocks/game, 5.4 points/game

Our man Travis is a better fg shooter than Anstey, better ft shooter than
Walker, as good a rebounder as Walker and better than Anstey, and a better
passer and shot-blocker than both. Why did we ever trade him away? He's
positively Russellesque by comparison!

I'm with the nay-sayers on this one. These guys are no better than the crap
we've had on the end of our bench for the past few seasons. In terms of
"potential", Mercer is a potential all-star. These guys will be lucky to be
potential starters on a losing team.
