Mr. Bskball Says Its Anstey, Walker & Future No. 1 for Mercer, Ellison and Popeye

Well, what can you say? Just, that it could be a good deal,
if the following *ifs* work out:

If Paul Pierce can handle the shooting guard position....

If Samaki Walker manages to stay off the injured reserve list...

If Anstey isn't the Australian version of Travis Knight....

If the future 1st round pick is from Dallas and not lottery
protected...

It could be a very good deal, if its Dallas' first round
pick next year, since Don should have them lottery bound.

You also can't dismiss Pitino's ability to rejuvenate players' careers.
Anstey and Walker just being around Il Duce,  means
that we should see an upgrade in their skills. It's not automatic
by all means, but if he can do it
for Minor, Barros, and Brown, then I guess we can expect improvement
in these more talented players.

However, I can't tell which of the two, Jersey Red or 
he perceives as being a future All-Star. Maybe its Anstey - He is 
a mobile big guy with a good shooting touch,
but not exactly Mr. Ferocious on the boards. Perhaps, he thinks he'll
have enough quickness to be able to fit into his pressing system.
Maybe he perceives him to be a  Kukoc-like player.

Any ways, if the trade goes down, I'm sure the Rickster will put a nice
spin on it.
