More on Samaki

I wonder if the Samaki sign-and-trade deal may have to do with Dana
and Bowen, or somesuch level.  What the Mavs need is a proven back-up
point (Robert Pack is good but injury-prone).  Dana could backup at
point and #2.  Bowen could bring good defense since they don't have
any right now.

It's too easy to suggest that Ron is the bait for any and all trades.
 Maybe we're looking at Shepherd, Clack, Griffin as backups to replace
Dana and Bowen.  

Other than that, I think Popeye may be the trade for S. Walker; but
if he's healthy, why not just keep him--he's cheaper and has better
experience.

And, if Purvis is ready to play, why not let him?  He knows the game.
 He owes us a lot of effort.  Any reason why a healthy Ellison would
not be a plus?  Other than the hair?
