Ira Winderman: Mashburn Playing Well; Popeye Was Part Of 4 Team Deal

Here's what the Sun-Senteniel's Winderman said about Mashburn (1/19):

"Yet many who have participated in the Heat's workouts see Mashburn
re-emerging as the type of scorer who put together dominant performances
in his early years in Dallas."

As far as the rumored 4-team trade goes, Winderman says the Celtics
would have given up Popeye, Pierce, and DeClercq, all of whom would
have gone to Cleveland, but draft choices were also involved in the
failed four-way deal...
