Boston Globe:



              - Celtics center Popeye Jones was expected to re-sign with
              Boston for $8 million over three years.






              The AP learned of the Battie-Knight trade from two league
              sources. It will reunite Knight with the Lakers, the team 
he
              played for before signing with Boston as a free agent. The
              Lakers acquired Battie from the Denver Nuggets in last 
June's
              Nick Van Exel trade.
