Re: ESPN members?

The article is about questionable front office and player personnel moves
like the under-the-table agreements that go on in addition to the announced
contracts. The Karl Malone unanounced deal with Utah, attempts by Phoenix
to keep McDyess (where a few tampering rules were desperately bent), and New
York's contact with Sprewell are sited along with a few others. Some GMs
are complaining the the league is turning a blind eye to this practice.
Also, the injured reserve "taxi squad" system is brought to question, with
some teams using it at times to keep depth on their squad while keeping
other teams from picking up a needed player to plug a hole. Boston is not
mentioned anywhere in the article (nor is the Stewart signing by Toronto).
