Re: Kenny Anderson

I'm one of the somebodies blaming Kenny's teammates. I hate to break
this to you, KK, but point guard is a team oriented position. Kenny
was able to make the machine run so well last season because, among
other things, the team was so revved up and well-oiled on the
defensive end, and because they were able to get running via the press
and defensive rebounds. In the half court, his teammates spaced
themselves out right, reversed the ball, and made the extra pass.
Admittedly, KA has been playing poorly, but a point guard can't make
an offense flow on his own, any more than he can make guys catch his
passes. But KA is definitely out of sync -- he has made some bad
passes and bad decisions. I think it's all part of team chemistry,
and that you'll see him improve steadily as the season wears on. BTW,
kudos to Ricky P. for not rushing Mercer back. We need him down the
stretch.
