In Case you haven't heard:

The Celtics are going to sign former Providence star Jamel Thomas (Stephon
Marbury's cousin) tomorrow to take Pierce's roster spot. Looks like Conlon
will be released to make room. 6'6 hard-nosed shooting guard.

I have always liked Thomas, he will bring size and shooting to the off
guard spot. Cheaney is a horrible shooter and turnover prone. Thomas will
be able to get some minutes while Pierce is injured. Averaging 20 ppg for
the Quad City Thunder of the CBA. Thomas can fill it up on occasion and I
am surprised he didn't make anyone's roster this season.
