This morning on nba.com tv they showed a replay of the playoff game against
Indiana where Bird got knocked out of the game in the first half when he
bounced his face off of the parquet. He returned to a 20 minute standing O
in the second half.

It was nice to watch this game again with my 19 year old cat.

It was a young Indiana team on the rise, full of piss and vinegar, trying to
unseat the ancient Celtics.  It was really fun and really sad to watch.

Bird and McHale at the end of their careers- Bird with a cream corn back and
McHale on only one leg.  Three promising young players for the Celtics:
Brian Shaw, Dee Brown, and Reggie Lewis.

Derek Smith shutting down THE RIFLEMAN.

Of course two of the Celtics, Reggie Lewis and Derek Smith would be dead in
a couple of years.

I had forgotten how great a center Robert Parrish was.

Who knows where the time goes?
