Way to go, Jim O!

I liked Jim O'Brien's handling of personnel for the 2nd half
last night. McCarty stayed on the bench, Cheaney came in
only when needed as a defensive specialist (over Walker at
one point), Anderson came back in before the Barros-led
team let the lead slip too much, Battie played a lot of 4, Ellison
played 14 minutes, and last but not least, the Cs won!! Pitino's
absence was very refreshing, which tells you something.

Way to go Paul Pierce, who tied Bird's team record of 9 steals.
Way to go Tony Battie, with 5 or so blocks and a big chunk o' rebounds.
Way to go Vitaly, who put a damn good body on Mourning.
Way to go Kenny Anderson for a great shot selection (and 2-2 treys)
Way to go coaches, for giving Walter McCarty a DNP-CD.

I still might use Overton over Barros...

I don't know why the Cs didn't dump the ball in the middle every
time down once Mourning got his 5th foul, but he managed to
stay in the game.

'Toine played within the game (12 pts, 7 rb, 4 asst, 2 blocks), and
had a beautiful laydown for an Ellison stuff. It was a play that I
fully thought would be another of his "shoot in the paint into a
bunch of opponents," but he made a lovely pass instead.

Pierce was in a zone - boy, he's really something. Loved his monster
block (forget who it was on).

great stuff!
