re-trading players

RE: re-trading players. I thought someone would have posted this earlier
but I believe that I saw a few months ago that the NBA was going to waive
the rule imposing a moratorium on re-trading a player due to the combined
weirdness of the short season and the one month off-season moratorium.
Therefore there are currently no restrictions on re-trading a player. I
thought this became evident when the rumors of Horace Grant and Hersey
Hawkins to Washington for Mitch Richmond hit the rumor mill a while ago. I
don't know how long this current state of affairs is scheduled to last but
I would hazard the guess that things will revert to 'normal' when the
season begins.
