Re: Will Perdue, anyone?

Eric Williams for Will Perdue is never going to happen.

Eric Williams has negative trade value right now. Will Perdue is a legitimate
backup center with defense and rebounding skills, which is a rarity in this
league. The Spurs almost traded for Sprewell with Perdue as bait, before the
choke. Maybe his value is not so high now that he is a free agent but it is
at worst zero (they can always renounce him) which is a lot better than Eric
Williams.

And the Spurs are not just looking for anyone who fits into the
position of 3; he has to have a perimeter game to complement Duncan and
Robinson. Eric Williams, even at his best, wouldn't fit in with their
plans.
