Actually I think Pitino said that Pierce can play the 2 and 3 and that
Cheaney can play the 2 and 3 but he is penciled in as a 3.

Pitino never said that Cheaney was a starter.  He just said that he was
going to play the 2.

Cheaney was asked a question if he thought he could be in the starting
lineup.
