Selected after junior season by Yakima Sun Kings in 4th round (#41 pick
overall)
of 1997 CBA Draft. Played a few games for the Nets - supposedly Calipari liked
him a lot.
And, what was Pitino doing sitting down Vitaly w/one foul when he was on a
roll?!
Anybody notice Chauncey Billups stats lately?
last night (GS): 3 treys 5 RB 9asst 1steal 22pts
and against Seattle: 4 treys 3 RB 5asst 2steals 32 pts
over .900 at the line
Maybe it's true that patience is the key with the younger players. Certainly
Russell, Heinsohn, McHale, and Walton have said so. Look at Greg Ostertag
recently. After a few years of limited minutes (and, I'm sure, Jazz fans
calling for a trade), he's now the Jazz's FT center, and contributing w/points
and rebounds, as well as 4+ blocks per game.
RP is now getting lots of bad press nationally. Will be interesting to see
what
effect that has... I loved Master P showing up to plug not Mercer, but
himself! What kind of relationship would RP have had to cultivate with a
player who was also the agent for one of his young stars in a contract year?
