Here is my take on the alleged Pitino - Walker feud, I see both sides are at
fault. Pitino is at fault because he should realise that Walker is no longer
a college basketball player and that nothing can be gained by taking
fighting/<negotiating contract> via media, it only benefits the media.
Walker for not realising that if he listens to his coach a little bit more
it will make him a better player.

As far as I am concerned I disagree with people who say Walker comes with a
baggage. Regarding Ryan's comment, there are times when he makes idiotic
ones:
After all he is the one who said the Celtics are irrelevent in today's NBA
why because the 90's basketball player wants to play in warm weather climate
and in a good facility <and he went on and on to say how fleet center is a
poor cousin to rose garden>.

Also, recall his comment on the Eric Williams trade when he said that
Williams was a fraud and he was wondering how long would it take RP to find
that out.

I think Pitino is smarter then that, he won't give Walker away for a bunch
of medicore players and I don't see any other team giving an equivalent
player in return. No not even Sacramento t because Webber is signed long
term and he still produces on a basketball court.

That he does, he is talented and smart but somehow that intelligence is not
helping him in making lifes little decisions. I am from Bay area and was
their when he was traded to the Bullets because he couldn't handle Nelson's
howling and hollering..just imagine how many days he will last in the Pitino
regime.

Walker is the best player for the system that RP runs and I hope both sides
realise that and bury the silly feud that they have been having. - Mishra
