Re: Pierce to Atlanta? -Reply

Hi Jim:

Just off the top of my head, there are three things the "Big O" brings
to this list which I appreciate:

1)We're all prone at times to being self-indulgent in our posts (I know
I am). Similar to you but in a different way, Greg always has his B.S.
detector on full alert, and IMO it's freaking healthy to have a
no-nonsense sports bar type guy around who will say "Whoa, you're really
full of it!" once in awhile. It keeps us honest and that's a good
thing, IMO.
2) He's one of the few guys I know who clearly despises the La La Land
Fakers as much as I do (in my case, it's a pathology) and plots for the
day we put an end to this pathetic-yet-painful two Finals winning streak
they've mounted against us.
3) He happens to be my age and he likes Elvis Costello.

Look, we all make up a reasonably friendly Celtics
community-of-total-strangers-coming-from-far-and-wide. If you all pause
to compare this situation to the pre-Net days of being a Celts fan, I
think it's obvious that this is something we've always wanted technology
to give us. Whatever...
