Yes, the timimg of this show by Oprah was very inappropriate.
And more than that Bird's daughter was made to share the
limelight [if so] with Minor's wife etc. who were victims of
physical and mental abuse also seemed strange. 

Oprah is a big friend of MJ and a Bulls fanatic. So may be this
was another ploy to take Bird's attention away from the game.

Hope the Pacers could beat the Bulls...tall order but possible.
