>Smith: The Celtics improved this season, but any title dreams in Boston
>still hinge on Antoine Walker sticking around, right?
>
>MacMullan: Well, I think so. If you look at the their team, Rick Pitino
>has done wonderful things, but a lot of it has been with smoke and
>mirrors. When it gets down to it, Walker is what they have. Now the owner,
>Paul Gaston, has said he's not going to pay $100 million for this young
>player. But I'm telling you, they need to step up and pay the big money
>and they need to do it this summer because he is by far their most
>valuable commodity. And if they want to attract free agents and get other
>players to come, they have to have a calling card and Antoine Walker is
>it.

Thanks Jackie. Makes sense to me. But then...I have someone's old logging
tools in my basement. But still...makes sense to me.
