uh... like ML could see the future. At the time is was a "fair" trade
that by luck became a much better situation than anybody ever
predicted.
Actually, the trade was Montross and the ninth pick in '96 (which became
Samaki Walker) for the sixth pick in '96 (Antoine Walker) and Dallas'
number one in '97, without lottery protection (Ron Mercer). Anyone who
knew anything about the players available in the '96 draft could see at
the time that the trade was a steal for the Celtics, with potentially
huge upside on the '97 pick. ML DID see the future on this one. But
aren't you the guy who wanted him lynched?
