Marbury, Geiger, etc.

The Anderson for Marbury idea is interesting but if Minnesota's
owner, who is worth $1 billion, cannot pay Marbury enough, I can't
see why the Celtics could, considering they have said they won't
pay Walker "Garnett money." I think that Kenny Anderson will last
another five years at least (he'll be 33?) although Pitino's system
could wear him out. Tim Hardaway is 31 and still going strong.
Stockton's turning 36 soon.

The problem with Knight is that he scores mostly on low-percentage
jumpers and gets muscled inside. Declercq is undersized and scores
mostly on putbacks and good passes from his teammates. Can Geiger
create his own scoring opportunities? Another thing is that he has
enough size for the position as opposed to Declercq or Knight.
Someone called Geiger a power forward pretending to be a center.
What's the justification for that?

As for getting a shotblocking/rebounding type with no offense,
I don't think that would work for this team unless Walker gets much
more dominant in the low post or we pick up a great offensive power
forward. The team needs to get more inside scoring because right now
the team's too perimeter-oriented. What do people on the list think
about acquiring Camby? Could Pitino straighten him out? Can he put on
some serious weight and play center?
