I disagree with this statement. Living in the future does not equal
success. The time is now. We must strive to be as good as we can now. RP
said we won't win the playoffs this year. If we don't, then he's off of the
hook. If we do, he looks like a genius. But, if we do make the playoffs, I
would bet he does his best to succeed there also.
Kenny Anderson is older than Chauncey. With age comes experience, a
good thing. The only minus about age is that Chauncey MAY have more years
left in the league than KA. At 27, KA could have many more productive
years, however.
Who will have the better future is a complete unknown. Unless one has a
crystal ball we won't know. I feel that Kenny is more what we needed at
that position. Chauncey did not create opportunities for others.
In saying a 'better future', I feel like you're saying that Chauncey has
more potential. That might be true, although I doubt it is true at the
point. If it is true it doesn't matter, because Chauncey was not a good fit
with this team, according to our coach.
If Kenny becomes a problem, then we try to trade for a better fit. Most
of us on the list are used to management who will sign marginal talent and
keep marginal talent. Pitino has a quick trigger finger, but at least if he
makes a mistake he corrects it.
