If only the current Celtics.....

Just to keep the record straight. When the Celtics were winning all those
championships the fans in Boston kept talking about Celtic pride, great,
aggressive defense, big plays at crucial moments, superior talent, hustle,
smart players, and the rest of the league kept talking about the bad calls,
the refs, the time keepers, the breaks,.... year after year after year. If
you want to know why the Jazz lost this series, look straight at "the
greatest power forward in NBA history" who was nowhere to be found in the
last quarter of the first four games. They had chances to win, but couldn't
put the Bulls away. Great players put themselves in position to make great
defensive plays, to make big shots, to get the benefit of the doubt on
calls. Sorry guys. The Bulls stay close, they make big shots, they play
great defense, they get big rebounds. They've done it year after year. They
do it during the season. They do it in the playoffs. Everybody puts in the
big effort to beat them, game after game and night after night. The bottom
line is, they win. You don't win as many times as they have without being a
great team. The Celtics of the 60's...the Bulls of the 90's. You can talk
about how the league has changed, it's all one on one, everybody is
selfish, the competition isn't as good. Bottom line guys...both teams found
ways to win, consistently stayed close in big games, made big plays, played
great defense, got the benefit of the doubt on a ton of calls because they
had a ton of talent and were extremely aggressive.....and did it all year
after year...game after game. Thank God this is all over now. The current
Celtics? You watch the playoffs and to be frank...I can't help but think
they have a very, very, ....very long way to go.
