RE: Guard from Hawaii

Greg,

I'm not sure as to Hawaii's tv schedule but I have seen them play three times this year and Carter is an amazing talent. You might remember earlier this year that Hawaii defeated Kansas in the Rainbow Classic. Carter played an unbelievable game and if I'm not mistaken a guy by the name of Jerry West was in the stands. He had a problem with his shoulder earlier in the year but he has been 100% for at least a month now. According to the ESPN homepage Hawaii will be playing on Feb.2 @ 11:59 on ESPN against Fresno State and Feb 21 on ESPN2 @9:30 against Tulsa. Carter is averaging 16.9 pts, 4.1 rebounds and 7.9 assists and a little over 2.5 steals per game this season. The only negative I see is that his assist to turnover ratio (126 assists and 76 turnovers) is a little low, which could be expected in the college game. He shoots 47% from the field and 33% from three point land and 75% from the free throw stripe. He's a great player and I really encourage anyone on the digest to check him out if you get a chance. Any free agent or valid trade discussions lately?

Brad,

There are of course hundreds of guards out in the college ranks, but your
insight to this guy seems promising. Because you are watching him so close
is there an opportunity to knowing when he and his team might be appearing
on TV, or some other footage that might be available to give us wannabe
scouts some actual visual to better asses our opinion of a potential
college prospect. Any stats would be helpful as well.
