Dee Brown

I was listening to WEEI last night when a caller called in to say that he
hates RP for getting rid of Dee Brown!  The announcers said, "you must be
the only guy out there that thinks that." This guy was pretty emotional
about it and when asked why, he couldn't really answer in basketball terms,
but moreso as a fan who LIKED this player. It was interesting to hear it
played out.

Many more people called in to argue the trade on basketball terms...many
potential v actual arguments, age difference (in relation to potential),
skill as a point guard....too much player movement by RP, etc. People get
really emotional....some said they didn't care if the Celtics won or not,
they wanted to keep Billups cause he was a good guy, never complained, etc.

I'll admit it...on SportsCenter last night they showed Dee Brown in his new
uniform and my heart skipped a beat. It looked funny. I was slightly sad
for him, but not really for the Celtics. He scored 6 points for his new
team including a 3-pointer.
