Disgruntled Anderson rumored to be dealt to Celtics
CBS SportsLine wire reports
Feb. 18, 1998
BOSTON -- Point guard Kenny Anderson refused to report to Toronto and
has reportedly been unloaded by the Raptors in a six-player deal with
the Boston Celtics one day before the NBA trading deadline.
A report on the SportsFan Radio Network on Wednesday said that the
Raptors have traded Anderson, injured power forward Popeye Jones and
injured center Zan Tabak to the Celtics for guards Chauncey Billups
and Dee Brown and forward John Thomas.
The network also reports that the Raptors are expected to send Brown
to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for guards Chris Carr and
Micheal Williams.
