Man, I was just watching NBA Today a few minutes ago. They were talking
about possible trades, and Penny's name was mentioned. Burwell said that
the reason why Orlando is so willing all of a sudden to trade him was that
there were trade talks and the figure $200 million was mentioned. Jeez. I
don't blame them. No one is worth close to that much. Especially for a
player who hasn't really shown anything since Shaq left, outside of two
hot games in the playoffs. Damn. I hope they come out with a workable
solution in the collective bargaining. I mean, forgive me for ranting but
I really think that it is ridiculous that owners have to operate a
potentially money losing franchise to win games. Case in point -
Minnesota. What the heck is the soft cap anyway when there seems to be so
many holes in it? - Danny
