Re: The whole truth

What players are not being paid? Are there some who are working for free?
Are the elite players concerned with what Bruce Bowen is doing to make ends
meet? Nobody is saying it is not okay to have other income avenues. But
they are in position to earn that income because of their basketball ability
which is showcased in the NBA. Why should the owners show the revenue
statements simply because the players want them to?

The truth is that the players are employees being more than fairly
compensated for their talent in most cases. There are players who are
coming forward to state that they are very well taken care of as a member of
this league also. If you think the players are not being fairly
compensated, I suggest you take a look at Patricia's list.

I think if the owners captiulate to the whims of the players, they will be
right back in the same situation in a few short years with a demand to make
a minimum of 60% of the profits. If the players want to make that
percentage of the money, why not just retire and invest in a team?
