Not all local outlets had/have deals with Direct TV. And not all of us have
DSS dishes but do have a BUD (Big Ugly Dish) and cannot get the NBA League
Pass on the Big Dish. I am lucky enough to have both, but, i wish Ch 38 had
retained the Celts rights as it is wicked cheap on the BUD and with the
Sportschannel package (Fox Sports New England) all Celts games with OUR
announcers were easily available. You are correct that if one has DSS and
the NBA League Pass all Celtic games will be seen ,but how many from Ch 68?
Plus as I said folks without DSS can't get the NBA League Pass as it isn't
available to BUD owners. Even though I have access to both I , Dorine and
others have stated that given our druthers we would rather hear Cousy and
Tommy over the blatherings of our opponents announcers, but beggars can't
be choosers!! Later.Mike
