This is a bit off list but it's a thread, so...


Jeremy took exception and offense to the recently posted wish hoping
that "Everyone have a happy Easter." Jeremy apparently saw this as a
Christian-Centric comment. In fact, Easter orignally was (is?) a pagan
holiday celebrating the Goddess of Spring (Eastre?) which other
religions co-opted as their own. Same thing happened with another
holiday that falls on December 25. So... since paganism is the belief in
many gods (rather than atheism) the phrase Happy Easter can be seen
(from the pagan perspective) as inclusive and welcoming.
