Hi Mike, Actually I have been big on stats for quite a while. I keep very
detailed track with my baseball team. The problem with the "if" theory is
that nothing is that predictable or guaranteed. The possibility exists that
even with a big man, Toine would still force shots thinking he would have
someone in better rebounding position too. Personally, I think that RP is
getting pissed at Toines attention to offense only. I'm not saying he can't
play defense cuz he can, but he does seem more than a little preoccupied
with padding the points.
I think the addition of a *healthy* Kenny Anderson makes a big difference,
but to the team as a whole. I would expect that Mercer would benefit as
much from his presence as Toine as he can knock down that mid-range jumper
with much more regularity.
Don't misunderstand me, for believe it or not, I like Toine. I think he's
super talented. But he needs to make some sacrifices for the C's to climb
the mountain.
