To be fair Noah, Pervis had a great year in 91/92 when he averaged 20pts and
11.2rebs in 66 games. He followed that up the next year with an average of
17pts and 8.8rebs in 49 games.

A comparison of their first 3 years in the NBA are clouded by the fact that
Pervis hasn't ever been healthy save for that 1 big year.

          gp - min - mpg - fg% - ft% - rpg - spg - bpg - ppg
PE - 176 -5319 - 30.2 -.518 -.687- 8.6 - 0.72 - 2.22 -13.5
AM - 226 -7121 - 31.5 -.491 -.701- 7.5 - 0.93 - 1.62 -15.5

It is open to dispute who you'd rather select based on their first 3 year in
the league. We do have the luxury of knowing that Perv, due to injury never
got better. The question is will McDyess get better and at what price will
he command?
