Cecil Wright (cecil@hfx.andara.com - UNVERIFIED ADDRESS,
accessing The Globe Online from 142.176.4.133), says:
This article has some interesting comments from both
Pitino and Toine about his 43 point performance. Pitino
wasn't real happy with his defence. Neither was Toine
although he downplayed it by saying he kept them in the
game with his offence. I find this disturbing because I
think he normally concerns himself with both ends of the
court. Assuming that Jayson Williams did not play, (I
didn't see the game and nobody responded when I asked if
he played) Toine should've had a field day on the
boards, but he was credited with only 4. I am not
encouraged by Toine's remarks. He implies that his D
isn't a big deal. Hope he's not setting up an
adversarial situation with the coach.

idea it was the kind of math you learn in grammar
school. In the arithmetic of the Celtics, large numbers
are not necessarily greater than smaller ones. <P>
