Per the post today; The Grant contract with Portland is on hold due to =
the Dudley arbitration case. Whitset out here in Portland states he =
will keep Dudley (talk about a lier!), more likely is that if the league =
gives them problems, they will just renounce Dudley. The deal was the =
peak of creativity, giving the Blazers Toronto's #1 for Dudley, allowing =
the Knicks the have Dudley, along with the Bird rights. Toronto to get =
John Wallace from the Knicks.
Portland has said many times they will start Grant at 3 along side =
Rasheed Wallace at 4. They either know more than the rest of the =
league, or feel they can rework Grant into a 3 from his more obvious 4 =
position. Portland is adament that they will not be letting go of =
Rasheed. At center they have Arthritis Sabonis, and the new pick., and =
possibly the Dudster.
Per the recent posts on possible last FA moves. Check out the remaining =
players on the ESPN page. No stars, or starters (except Rodman) are out =
there. If Jerome Kersey could make his way onto the team, the Celtics =
will not be sorry. He is a first rate player.
