Okay, you Arm-Chair Celts Personnel Managers...

AKA ACCPM's.

Let it be known that while Derrick Coleman is talented, he is also, outside
of Dennis Rodman, the primo representative of the spoiled, selfish athlete.
I do not like him and think he is detrimental to any team he's on. I just
wanted that clear before I make the following suggestion:

Derrick Coleman is owed $8 million under contract in 1997-98. The
following season, 1998-99, he is owed $13 mil. Disgusting, but true.

The hitch is that his contract for the 97-98 season, year after next, can
be bought out by his employer for a measly $5.5 mil.

I am on the fence on this one, but theoretically, the C's could trade Radja
and Dee Brown to the Sixers for Coleman, let him play for a year, then buy
his lazy ass out and open up an additional 8$ mil worth of free agent
dollars for the Bumper Crop of '98.

The Sixers get two capable players in return for getting rid of a problem,
and allows them to focus on their main men, Stack, Iverson, and supposedly
Battie.

This would serve Celtic long-term goals pretty well.

Don'tcha think?
