most generous in the nba? try in team sports coaching history. i have a hard
time believing that larry brown is worth almost 2 times riley, and that
pitino is worth more than three times...? i was sort of happy that the
salary explosion in the nba had not reached the coaching ranks, but with
calipari last summer and now this lunacy, it appears nothing is safe from
the nine-figure contract. can you imagine what a proven _nba_ winner like
phil jackson would command in the open market (well, maybe if we wait a few
months, we'll see...)
