Two thoughts occur to me reading all the press about Pitino maybe going to
Boston: 1) it may be time everyone who has been tagging Gaston as a
cheapskate, interested only in milking the Celts for what they are worth,
to eat a little crow (are you listening Peter May?). The deal being offered
Pitino is apparently the most generous in the NBA, 2) the Celtics mystique
may still had some drawing power among some - esp. those of Pitino's
generation.
