TRADES, COACHES

Hi, all
I don't believe the Celts have any intention of trading either Williams
or Walker, nor should they. They're both fine young players and we need
them. They are part of what will make the team of the future, along
with two high draft picks and (hopefully) a couple of veterans like
Wesley and Fox. The veterans are necessary too, you know. Also, ML
said he won't be the coach next year. I believe him. He took the flak
because he has the temperament to do so, which most don't. They wanted
to finish last, for a high draft pick, that is my belief, though I don't
like it. Some things that looked like bad coaching I think were
deliberate. I don't say ML is a good coach, but he's better than we
think he is right now. If not Bird or Pitino, I also hope it could be
DJ. If you go to the Globe online you can see that the media is saying
it's a "done deal" and will be announced early this week that Pitino is
coming to Boston and Larry is going to Indiana. Where they get this
information is a mystery to me, since nothing has been announced, but
that's what they're saying. Nobody's angry with McHale for going back
to his home state when he retired, so why be angry that Larry might do
the same thing? I'd like to see Larry coach the Celts, and would prefer
him to Pitino, even with the questions about how good he'd be. However,
I'd prefer either of them to Brown. I hate seeing such a legendary
franchise come down to this. It's a disgrace.
