          I was part of the conference call when ML made his
          announcement yesterday and he was deliberately vague about
          his role with the team next year. I asked if the Celtics
          were considering bringing in a coach who also would be in
          charge of basketball operations and he said he would not
          comment on that. That tells me they probably are offering
          that kind of position to Pitino, but aren't ready to get rid
          of ML until they know Pitino will take both jobs. ML threw
          DJ's name in the coaching ring during the call also, which
          leads me to believe if Pitino, Larry Brown, etc. fall
          through, then an ML/DJ combination may be the fallback
          position. Let's hope it doesn't come to that.
