Forget Derek Strong

Derek Strong resigned with Orlando:

The Orlando Magic today re-signed free agent forward Derek Strong, the only
player to appear in all 82 games during the team's injury-plagued 1996-97
season.

Strong averaged career highs of 8.5 points and 6.3 rebounds, then increased
the numbers to 12.2 points and a team-high 10 rebounds in Orlando's
first-round playoff series with Miami. He averaged 12.9 points and 9.5
rebounds in 21 starts during the
regular season.

The 29-year-old Strong was a second-round draft pick of Philadelphia in 1990,
but opted to play in Spain right away. He has averaged 6.4 points and 4.8
boards in 306 career NBA games with Washington, Milwaukee, Boston, the Los
Angeles Lakers and Orlando.
