I might respond to this survey, if it were not so laughably biased by an M.L. 
fan.  Almost every acquisition is described as an all-star, every loss as a 
stiff.  And it completely ignores his really stupid moves, and his horrific 
coaching.

M. L. Carr was a major disaster.  The question is not "how bad was M.L."  The 
question is, "Who could possible have been worse?"
