Pitino Gets Rodman Award

The July issue of Esquire magazine has an article in which the author gives his Dennis Rodman awards to sports figures that he claims behave obnoxiously. Pitino is among them. According to the article, Pitino makes the list for his statement that it wasn't the money that brought him to the Celtics. Other basketball people on the list are Shaq (for saying it wasn't the money that moved him to LA), and John Calipari.

The Rodman awards have gone through a few name changes, beginning life as the Andre Agassi awards. The author claims that the awards will forever be named after Rodman. Too bad the article was written before the Tyson fight.
