What a night! This is everything I could have hoped for, an excitng game,
19/11 from Antoine, 20+ and 11 assists from David, 20 points for Eric -- and
we lose to the sixers in overtime -- on the same night as the Nets and
Nuggets win!
Hey, I hate the sixers as much as anyone does. You guys who say "screw the
lottery" so bravely won't feel so spunky when Pat Croce stands up in Secaucus
with a Sixer jersey for Tim Duncan. Personally, i think the continued
absence of Derrick Coleman from a cut pinkie (!) suggests that philadelphia
is tanking. Don't look for Shawn Bradley to come back any time soon, either.
Other miracles from last night:
Tommy Heinsohn calling two fouls on celtics;
Antoine's flashing in front of Marty Conlon en route to rim;
M.L.'s wonderful balancing act -- motivate but don't win. Also, good profile
of celtics on Inside the NBA last night. Inlcuded red saying that a player
with intangibles (e.g. Kevin and Robert) is "untradeable." Amen, brother!
