John, I am a Celtics fan but like most, I definitely know this team sucks
big time, but I would rather see us have the worst year ever & land Duncan
& a few other solid picks to help with rebuilding than win a few
meaningless games and end up with a mediocre pick. We have had 10 years of
that. As for Wesley Fox & Barros, I think Wesley is a keeper, he plays
hard, has been pretty consistent this year, and their aren't any points
available in the draft or free agency that are any better except for
possibly a Chauncy Billups who should be around for our second pick.

Fox I have mixed emotions on, he has been an underachiever during his
career but has played great as of late, and does play hard. At the $1.8M he
makes, he is probably worth it based on the current salaries, if he wants a
major raise, he may not be, but we need to make a decision on both Fox &
Williams before we give them big multi-year deals and end up with another
Barros & Brown. The draft will be deep at the 3 spot so we may be able to
land a more talented replacement, But I would like to see us go Duncan &
Billups, Mercer or maybe Dedric Willoughby with the top 2 picks.

Barros is definitely overpaid and the only way he can help the Celtics is
if we get a big point like Billups or Miles Simon, we can't play Barros &
Wesley in the backcourt due to their size.
