I agree. Next year when the Celts bring in a top draft pick and presumably
a new coach it will be time to stop deconstructing and start rebuilding. A
case could be made for keeping a few of the guys on your list, esp. Dino,
but I think a time comes when you just have to fish or cut bait (or however
that expression goes). The only problem of course is the length of these
guys' contracts. 

This brings up an earlier question. The Celts could trade a player like
Brown to another team and offer to pay part of his salary, this would make
Brown easier to trade. This is what the New York Knicks did when they
traded Charles Smith to the Spurs. The question is how does this count
against the cap? If it does not count against the cap it obviously is a way
to move these players, providing the management is willing to swallow the
extra expense.
