contracts and CAPS

i've never understood much about the contracts and salary caps side of 
the NBA.  it seems that it it time to learn about such things.

first, how long are the celtics currently screwed with regard to 
contracts and high salaries which limit our cap spending?  is there an 
end in sight?

second, could someone give me a basic explanation of the factors 
involved or direct me to someplace where i could learn about these 
things.
