record (worst to best) and total chances out of 1,000, followed by the order
for the first round of the 1997 NBA draft. The lottery will be held on May 18:

the right to swap its pick (or Philadelphia's pick, if Philadelphia swaps

xxx-Cleveland has the option to receive this pick.

y-Pick traded to Boston.

z-Pick may be conveyed to Utah.

zz-Portland has the option to convey this pick to Minnesota.

Note: Washington forfeited its 1997 first-round pick in connection with its
signing of Juwan Howard. Washington would have had the 17th pick, and the
picks referred to above (following the 16th) reflect that forfeiture.
