Brian Williams (No C's content)

Greetings,
I got the following from Mercury News this morning:

BULLS REPORTEDLY TO SIGN BRIAN WILLIAMS

The Chicago Bulls reportedly are on the verge of signing
free-agent center Brian Williams, who has sat out the entire
season while recovering from knee surgery last fall. Williams has
been in Chicago the last couple of days and told WMVP Radio that
he could sign in the next couple of days. Williams averaged
career highs in points (15.8) and rebounds (7.6) last year in 65
games for the Los Angeles Clippers. He became a free agent after
the season when he opted out of his contract and then underwent
the surgery. "We haven't signed Brian yet, but we had our doctors
look at him," Bulls coach Phil Jackson said after Tuesday's
111-106 win over Boston. "They've given him a clean bill of
health on his injured knee. If we do sign Brian, it'll certainly
take him a couple of weeks to get into basketball shape."
Williams' signing would result from reserve center Bill
Wennington's suffering from torn plantar fasciaitis in his left
foot and power forward Dennis Rodman's absence for the regular
season with a sprained knee.

How can the Bulls possibly do this? Is Williams going to play for the
minimum? Very Interesting, to say the least (like the Bulls need more
help).
