Re: Some more research

> Scott, who's sobbing?

I don't have that Who album! ;-o

> This information is pertinent to the issue at hand.

No it's not. You shamelessly use it to try to prove some kind of sprit-
ual connection between you & Pete.

> Never would I reveal such personal things had Pete not written such
> personal things as ADB.

So, because Pete relates a personal story you feel justified relating your
own personal experiences.....to prove what? That you're Pete-like? That
you understand him better than most? Are you one of his chosen ones?

> I see this is wasted on you.

Well, I'm not one of the chosen. My Light is off. My crack is closed.
I'm not kind. I've never done heroin.

> There are real problems that cannot be ignored.

Yeah, problems with Pete's awkward, self-centered reaction to this whole
mess.

> There are people that are unfortunate and don't live convenient little

Here we go again. "Boo-hoo for me. I've lived a troubled life. No one
knows what it's like. I'm just like Pete. You'll never understand."

> Pete wrote about this in January of 2002 and there was little to no

So, obviously that means all the rest of us could care less. "Only the
true chosen ones would have the courage to speak up. Only one of Pete's
'holy children' would recognize the severity of the horrible situation.
Damn the rest of them & their unkind feelings to hell!!" What lovely,
inclusive feelings.

> I did respond then because I have some understanding about the problem
> he is addressing and I was very thankful to see him write it.

So thankful that we had to hear about your similar trials & tribulations.
Rather than just comment on Pete's essay you had to personalize it & turn
it into your own religious sermon for all us sinners to feel guilty about.
How very kind.

> I wrote no "sob stories."

No, we really needed to hear about your ex-wife's addictions & the financial
burden it placed upon you. That tied right in to what Pete was saying
about child abuse. Sure.

> My purpose in exposing my situation later-at considerable cost-was to

Yeah, like none of us knew those things were going on before you bore wit-
ness to us. Your story had nothing to do with the "real world" & every-
thing to do with "your world." Your religion has you so self-absorbed you
can't even see that.

> If something like this had happened to you, maybe you would know to shut
> up and listen.

I did shut-up & listen! You're the one who exploded with personal tales
of heroin & jail cells! Proudly waiving your 'recovering addict' banner
for all to admire & worship. As if that let you into some exclusive Pete
Townshend Club, forbidden to people who never had an auto repossessed.

> I won't bore anyone with the good part of the story because I keep that
> for myself.

Oh, I'm sure it'll come out sooner or later. After all, you seem to feel
the need to remind us every so often of the obstacles you've overcome thanks
to the guidance of your imaginary Lord Jesus Christ.

> I am not discouraged.

Only self-centered.

> How can you help the one you really love? You first have to have the
> experience of loving someone.

"Yes, yes, yes. Non-believers don't know true love. Yes, yes, yes. Infer-
ior, misdirected, morally-bankrupt people they are. They cannot know true
peace & happiness. Without having ever hit rock bottom, how can they reach
the highest of highs unless they conform to *my* religious beliefs?"

What a nice, kind attitude. I need something imaginary in my life, too, to
make me feel special & important. Where do I sign up?
