The Young Vic Disk

Mine, too. I've listened to the Young Vic disc about 4 times & I'm
just overjoyed with it.

Man, hearing those gurgles & swoops by The OX! Fucking brilliant!
And Moon! As if we needed reminding that he's the best & most or-
iginal rock drummer of all time. All you can do is laugh & shake
your head. I mean....*who* plays like that?!

You're right, Jon, Daltrey sounds hugely powerful. What command.
What force. What passion. What professionalism.

Townshend makes the most mistakes of anyone & seems to be a bit ap-
prehensive at times. But so what. I could listen to Pete & The Who
make mistakes all day. My trousers would still end up soiled.

I just love "Time Is Passing" from this disc. All my friends hate
that song! Fuck 'em! It, too, is brilliant. "I'll be free-ee-ee!!"

And yes, Jon, "Love Ain't For Keeping" is quite the rocker. Fuck "I
Can See For Miles," why didn't the band play LAFK more?!

In "Road Runner," Keith messes up a bit & then Townshend drags the
song out too long. But there's still some nice interplay between the
two.

Phew! I'm going to Cincinnati this weekend (hi, Rob!) & can't wait
to jam this Young Vic concert again on the drive down.

Mark, I know you're happy. You've been dying for them to release this
sort of thing. Maybe San Francisco '71 will be next. Or Philly '73.
All I know is I want more. More. More!

LONG LIVE THE WHO!!
